Days after a picture of Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s being carried by policemen over floodwaters went viral, he issued a clarification saying he was lifted by them, without his asking them.
He said that he visited multiple villages on foot, but only that photo caught the people’s attention.

His photo drew flak from the Opposition and was the butt of many social media jokes. The Chief Minister said that he was visiting many villages and people who were affected. He had to cross a bridge when the viral photo was snapped.
