On Sunday, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan visited the flood-hit areas in the state, launching Twitter into a frenzy.

While Nitish Kumar did an aerial survey of of flood-hit Bihar, Chouhan chose to hover over the waters to really show he’s a leader who is closer to his people and their problems.

Some users called it Chouhan’s version of an aerial survey, because helicopters are just so passé.

Users found in Chouhan a contender for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, already training to be a champion.

Some drew parallels between Ganesha and Chouhan.

While some users pointed out other ways in which Chouhan could conduct the survey, in case his royal ‘chariot’ were to breakdown.

Chouhan aside, heavy rain lashed the state for the last two days and until Sunday evening, rain-related mishaps had claimed 15 lives.

A woman was injured as an old 3-storey building, apparently weakened by the heavy rain of last two days, collapsed in the state’s Narsinghpur district.
