1. Is Rajinikanth Reinventing His ‘Superstar’ Image?

Post Lingaa, the superstar seems to have understood the need to reinvent himself after being panned by critics, who said he looked strained while performing his ‘larger than life’ signature moves and stunts on screen. The Tamil superstar Rajinikanth’s next project will be directed by Pa Ranjith, a relatively new name in the Tamil film industry. Speculation is rife that choosing a newbie director and a renowned production house seems indicative of the star’s desire to move away from his comfort zone and choose a more non-formulaic, financially viable project.
