Shootout Near Delhi’s Dwarka Metro Station, 5 Arrested

The operation was carried out after Delhi Police got information about the suspects’ whereabouts from Punjab Police.

Five people have been arrested in a joint operation by the Delhi and Punjab police after a brief shootout near Delhi’s Dwarka Mor Metro Pillar 768.

The operation was carried out by the teams after the Punjab Police provided information to their Delhi counterparts about the criminals’ whereabouts. Twelve country-made firearms and 100 cartridges were recovered from the gangsters, reported ANI.

Nobody was injured in the shootout that that took place in a residential area in Dwarka, DCP (southwest) Shibesh Singh told Hindustan Times. The suspects were hiding on the second floor of a building that had residences as well as offices.

The police is still searching the area for more men who might have escaped during the shootout. The men were wanted by the Punjab police for murder, attempt to murder and carjacking.
