Newly appointed Delhi Congress chief and former chief minister of the national capital, Sheila Dikshit cleared the air regarding any rumours about her forming an alliance with the Aam Aadmi Party, The Times of India reported. This comes as a good news to the BJP that faces a huge challenge in retaining its seats in Delhi.

In an interview with The Times of India, she said that working with AAP is not possible in any way.

“I have never said that I’m willing to form any kind of alliance, if I am quoted in this context, I would like to clarify I was misunderstood, we are not exploring any kind of alliance with AAP.”

Sheila Dikshit had, upon her appointment, refused to comment on the same and said that she will accept the Congress high command’s decision if it decides to tie-up with the Aam Aadmi Party.

Although the Delhi Congress chief has said no to an alliance with AAP, the possibility cannot be completely ruled out as Congress remains split on the alliance.

Apart from Dikshit, Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh has also ruled out the possibility of an alliance with AAP.
