It’s been four days since the earthquake on Saturday and the news from Nepal continues to remain grim.

Associated Press photographer Altaf Qadri has had a bird’s eye view of the rescue process and has taken a number of photographs on the rescue efforts of the Indian Air Force. The photographer was in fact quoted in theTime magazine article that accompanies his photographs.

Many of the houses in the hills [have] collapsed, and the injured are in a bad situation. As soon as we approached the village to land, people started gathering around the helicopter.
