Four Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) workers were attacked in Kannur, Kerala on Monday, 20 November.
The four have been admitted to a hospital for treatment. The reason behind the attack is yet to be ascertained and assailants are yet to be identified.
Meanwhile, the body of a RSS worker was found in a sack in Uttar Pradesh’s Meerut city, the police said on Monday. The victim identified as Sunil Garg, was also a prominent iron trader.
He was last seen earlier on Sunday, campaigning for a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate for the municipal corporation polls, the police said.
He went missing after he left his home on Sunday evening.
Superintendent of Police (City) Man Singh told IANS that there were “injuries on the victim's face inflicted with a sharp weapon”.
