Two labourers were killed and two others injured on Friday, 31 August, when a speeding SUV ran over them while they were sleeping on a pavement under a flyover in Jaipur, PTI reported quoting the police.
The accident took place near the Gandhi Nagar Railway Station.
A local BJP leader's son, who was behind the wheels, has been arrested, after passers-by handed him over to the police, reported NDTV.

According to preliminary investigation, Bharat Bhushan Meena was driving the car in an inebriated condition, he further added.
Bharat and his friends, who were also in an intoxicated condition, first hit the pavement under the flyover, say reports. When the driver accelerated and tried to flee, he lost control and crushed the sleeping labourers
Meena was detained and a case was registered against him under various sections of the IPC, the SHO said.
The deceased were identified as Sajid Khan, 32 and Jagmohan, 45 the SHO said, adding that the injured persons were rushed to Sawai Man Singh Hospital in Jaipur, reported PTI.
The bodies were handed over to family members after postmortem, he added.
The SUV is registered in the name of Bharat's father, Badri Narayan Meena, a leader of the BJP's Kisan Morcha. Footage also showed the vehicle had posters of Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje's Gauarav Yatra on the rear windscreen, according to NDTV.
