1. Youth Stalks, Harasses Malayalam Actress, Held
A 28-year-old youth has been arrested in southeast Bengaluru for allegedly stalking a Malayalam film actor and pressuring her to love and marry him.
Madiwala police arrested Franklin Whisil, an employee with a private firm located in Basavanagudi and resident of Electronic City, on Thursday after Reba Monica John, a resident of Koramangala I Block, filed a complaint accusing him of stalking her for over a year. Reba debuted last year with Malayalam movie Jacobinte Swargarajyam.
"Whisil was charged with IPC Section 354D (stalking) and was produced before the court. Later, he was released on bail," a police officer said.

2. Delhi Police Head Constable Found Dead Inside Residence
A 49-year-old Delhi Police head constable was today found dead inside his government quarter under mysterious circumstances in northwest Delhi's Jahangirpuri, the police said.
The body of head constable, Bhibidan, who was posted in Sixth Battalion of the Delhi Armed Police, was found, they said.

3. Delhi Woman Shot at While Chasing Chain Snatchers
A 35-year-old woman was shot at when she chased two men who snatched her chain in Rohini on Friday evening. Police said the woman, Priyanka Goel, received a bullet wound in her right leg and is recuperating in hospital. DCP (Rohini) Rishi Pal said they have registered a case of robbery and attempt to murder. “A few persons have been picked for questioning,” he said.

4. Doctor Drugs Woman Patient, Rapes Her
A doctor was arrested for allegedly raping a woman patient inside his clinic in Delhi, police said on 29 October.
Police said the accused Amit Rai is a resident of Sonia Vihar area in east Delhi and runs his clinic near his rented accommodation. He was arrested on Saturday late night soon after the victim's medical reports confirmed sexual assault.
"The 32-year-old woman, who was suffering from fever, was visiting Rai's clinic from last week. Rai on Saturday told her that she is suffering from typhoid and had to give injection," a senior police officer said.
"He took her in a room inside a clinic and gave her drugs following which the victim got unconscious. He then raped her and later in the evening, dropped her near the clinic, threatening her with dire consequences if she disclosed his crime to anyone," he said.

5. 14-Year-Old Stabbed Outside School Tells Tale of Bullying
A 14-year-old boy was stabbed in his chest and thigh by two of his classmates outside their school in Rohini's Vijay Vihar on Friday evening while he was on his way home. He remained in a critical condition for two days and stabilised on Sunday evening. The perpetrators are absconding.

6. Minor Killed by Car in UP Minister's Fleet; CM Seeks Report
A five-year-old boy died after being hit allegedly by a car in the motorcade of Uttar Pradesh minister Om Prakash Rajbhar near Colonelganj in Gonda district, following which Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has sought a report from the state police chief.
Rajbhar maintained he was not travelling with the cavalcade at the time of the incident even as opposition parties attacked the state government over the incident which comes ahead of civic polls in UP.
One of the cars in Cabinet minister Rajbhar's cavalcade, while passing through the Colonelganj area yesterday, had allegedly knocked down Shiva Goswami, who died on way to hospital last night, the police said.
Eyewitnesses and family members of the boy alleged that no one in the convoy stopped to help the child. His father Vishwanath alleged that the minister sped away in one of the cars that was decorated with garlands.

7. Man Stabbed to Death on Flyover
A 50-year-old man died after being stabbed by unknown assailants near outer Delhi's Samaypur Badli on Sunday. DCP (Rohini) Rishipal said that the man, later identified as Ashok, is a native of Ambala. A case has been registered. A police officer said that the victim owns an electronics shop in Ambala and used to purchase items from Bhagirath Place. On the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday, Ashok was found lying in a pool of blood at Nangli Puna Flyover in Samaypur Badli.

8. Unidentified Assailants Gun down Local BJP Leader in Jharkhand
A local BJP leader was shot dead by unidentified assailants, one of whom was caught and lynched by the locals in Darla village of Khunti district, the police said today.
Rajendra Mahato (42) was gunned down near his residence last night allegedly by three persons when he refused to come along with them, Sub-Divisional Police Officer Ranveer Singh said.
The villagers caught hold of one of them and lynched him, he said, adding that the two other assailants managed to flee.
Shortly before his killing, Mahato was abducted by nine people but he had managed to escape from their clutches and return home, Singh said.

9. 14-Yr-Old Girl Booked for Abandoning Newborn Behind Toilet, Cops Arrest Her Cousin for Rape
A 19-year-old was arrested for allegedly raping his 14-year-old cousin, who then got pregnant. The girl, a resident of Vasai, has been booked for abandoning her newborn.
The 19-year-old had been staying with the girl and her family for some years and the incident took place at her house. When the girl's parents learned about the pregnancy, they decided to go ahead with it. On Thursday evening, she is believed to have delivered the baby and then, along with her mother, abandoned it behind the toilet.
