1. Ryan Murder Case: Teen Googled Ways to Remove Fingerprints From Knife
The 16-year-old boy accused of murdering a schoolmate at Gurgaon’s Ryan International School searched the internet for various types of poison and how to use them before he executed the crime, multiple sources associated with the probe told HT.
He also looked up methods to remove fingerprints from the knife that he intended to use to commit murder, the sources added.
The CBI, which is probing the case, reviewed details of the searches the boy conducted on his mobile phone and laptop with regard to poisons and fingerprint smudging.
“Investigators suspect that after killing the student by slitting his throat, the accused deliberately threw the weapon, a knife which he procured a day before the murder from Sohna, in the commode of the toilet where the incident took place on 8 September,” said a CBI source.

2. Muslim Man Ferrying Cows Dead in Alwar, Police Probe Vigilantes
The Alwar police is investigating an alleged case of cow vigilantism and cow smuggling after a deserted pickup with bovines was found in the district Friday morning, while a body, said to be of one of the three persons who were inside the pickup, was found by the railway tracks about 15 kilometres from the pickup, police said Sunday.
“Not much is clear at this moment. A vehicle belonging to cattle smugglers was found abandoned at about 6 am on Friday under the jurisdiction of Alwar’s Govindgarh police station,” Alwar SP Rahul Prakash said.
An FIR was lodged under The Rajasthan Bovine Animal (Prohibition of Slaughter and Regulation of Temporary Migration or Export) Act, against the alleged cow smugglers on Friday and the vehicle sent to Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL), the SP said.

3. Police Constable in Bhopal Arrested for Raping Senior's Wife
A 33-year-old police constable was arrested on Sunday for allegedly raping a head constable’s wife in Bhopal, embarrassing the police establishment which is already under fire for perceived insensitivity in dealing with the alleged gang-rape of a girl in the state capital.
Ashish Bhattacharya, town inspector, Kamla Nagar police station said the head constable’s wife alleged that constable Ajab Singh raped her nearly a week ago.
“Based on the complaint, we have filed a case against constable Ajab Singh under IPC Section 376. We arrested the constable today (Sunday), produced him before the court, which sent him to judicial custody,” he added.

4. Father of Girl Rescued From Prostitution Ring Raped Her for Three Years
A 16-year-old girl, rescued from a prostitution ring last week, has said that her father allegedly raped her for three years before her uncle pushed her into the trade.
Police have arrested her father and are investigating his second wife’s involvement in the crime.
According to police officials, the teen told a counsellor at the rescue home in Yerawada that her mother had committed suicide in 2010 and her father had served jail time for abetment to the suicide.
After his release, he forcefully established sexual relations with his daughter and married another woman.

5. Teacher Booked for Hitting 10-Yr-Old Girl With Wooden Duster
Khandeshwar police have registered an FIR against a New Panvel school teacher for causing grievous hurt to a class 5 student by hitting her with a wooden duster as punishment for not finishing her studies. Anjali Chavan (35) was booked under Section 325 of the IPC.
Senior inspector Yogesh More said the teacher had hit three students on their hands with a duster and ruler. "Vishakha Surwase (10) sustained a hairline fracture on her right hand. Her parents, along with those of other students, demanded an FIR be filed against Chavan, who teaches EVS, on Saturday evening. We have registered an FIR against her as a student sustained grievous injuries. As the school had closed for the day, we will get her address when school reopens on Monday and arrest her," More added.

6. Stepdad 'Drowns' 4-Year-Old in Bucket of Water for Playing in a Neighbour's Flat
A four-year-old Nalasopara boy's stepfather allegedly killed the child by holding his head inside a bucket of water for visiting his neighbour's house to play.
Last week, the stepdad had a fight with the neighbour at Bhawani Niwas building, Santosh Bhuvan, in Nalasopara (East) and had warned Piyush and his brothers against going to his place. Tuling police said around 9:30 am on Friday, stepdad Vishal Jaiswal (25) dragged Piyush out of the flat and hit him with a broom. He then took him home and held his head in a bucket of water in the bathroom as Piyush's brothers, aged six and nine, looked on in horror.

7. Kerala: RSS Activist, Accused in CPI(M) Worker Murder Case, Hacked to Death
A RSS worker was hacked to death, allegedly by CPI(M) workers at Nenmeni in Guruvayur on Sunday afternoon, police said.
The victim, Anandan, 23, was riding a motorcycle when he was attacked allegedly by the CPI(M) workers, who were in a car. Though he was rushed to hospital, his life could not be saved, police said.

8. Man Held for Raping Teenager, Making Objectionable Video
A 20-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly recording an objectionable video of a teenager and raping her several times for over two months earlier this year by threatening to make the video public.
A case was registered following intervention of the Haryana State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (HSCPCR) and the accused arrested.
Shankar Kumar, who lives on rent in Gandhi Nagar, allegedly lured the 15-year-old from his neighbourhood promising marriage.
While her family was away, he took pictures of the teenager with vermilion and also recorded a video with the teenager saying she wanted to marry him.

9. Greater Noida: 17-Year-Old 'Gangraped' by Three Men
A 17-year-old girl was allegedly abducted and raped by three men, one of them known to her, in Greater Noida. The alleged incident took place on 11 October, police said.
A case was registered at Dankaur police station on Friday, police said, adding that the complainant alleged the accused persons had threatened her with dire consequences if she told anybody about the alleged rape.
However, she eventually gathered courage to inform her mother, who then approached police and lodged an FIR. “The accused are on the run, but we hope to nab them soon,” said a police officer.
