1. TV Actor Rahul Raj Singh Gets Interim Relief
Actor Rahul Raj Singh, who is accused of abetting the suicide TV actor Pratyusha Banerjee was granted interim relief against arrest till 18 April by the Bombay High Court on Tuesday.
Rahul Raj Singh, who was questioned by the police for 15 hours, said he didn’t harass Pratyusha but claimed she was harassed by her ex-boyfriends.

2. Mercedes Hit-and-Run: Accused Teenager Got Away for an Earlier Incident Using Contacts
The teenager, who allegedly rammed into and killed 32-year-old Sidharth Sharma with his father’s Mercedes Benz last week in Delhi, reportedly avoided charges in a similar incident earlier. In that instance, he was helped out by some powerful contacts.
On 16 February this year, the teenager’s car had allegedly hit another car, a Polo, near IP college in Civil Lines. The juvenile tried to flee the spot, said the owner of the Polo, who was recently summoned by police. The owner of the Polo said he gave chase for almost 4 km and managed to catch up with the juvenile at a traffic signal.
Explaining why he did not press charges, the owner of the Polo said,
He didn’t even have a licence. At the police station, he called his father and other powerful people, to show what kind of contacts he had. He acted as if nobody could do anything to him. I knew he would not be punished so I decided not to lodge a case against him. But I advised him to change his ways, warning him that he would get in trouble with the law otherwise.

3. Two Men Attack Metro Official and Rob Rs 12 Lakh
Two men entered the the control room of Rajendra Place Metro station with surgical masks, attacked a metro official with a knife and robbed Rs 12 lakh.
The metro official, Kunal Kishore, sustained injuries on his forehead and under his chest. The police conducted raids on Tuesday at Ghaziabad to look for the person who may have hired the men who attacked Kishore.
The police suspect that an acqaintance whom Kishore had got into a fight with recently, may have hired the attackers.

4. Two Arrested For Murder of NIA Officers
Two persons were arrested by the Uttar Pradesh police on Tuesday in connection with the murder case of National Investigating Agency (NIA) officer Tanzil Ahmed.
The police are still looking for Muneer, who is the main accussed and allegedly the mastermin behind the murder of the NIA officer.

5. Tihar Inmate Escapes From Police Van
An undertrial managed to escape from an open police van in Harayana on Monday. The Tihar inmate, Deepak Dabas escaped when the van was going through heavy traffic in Bawana.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Vikramjit Singh said the police are probing what the policemen escorting the inmate were doing at the time of the incident.

6. Newly-Married Woman Found Dead
A recently-married woman was found dead in Bhari Bhavsi village in Uttar Pradesh. Her family has claimed that she has been killed since they couldn’t comply with the dowry demands of the husband of the victim.
The family members have reported that the husband wanted a car which was not given to him.

7. Four Arrested in Connection to Murder of a Builder
Police have arrested four people in connected with the murder of a builder in Delhi last month. Azad, Parvez, Mustafa and Shokeen have been taken into custody for allegedly killing Fahim alias Batla at Punjabi Fatak in the Ballimaran area, Old Delhi.
The accussed told the police that Amir alias Langra gave them a contract to kill the builder.

8. Teenager’s Body Found in Jammu
Karan Kumar, an eighth standard student was found dead in his school in Basholi on Tuesday night. The 14-year-old’s throat was allegedly slit. He had gone missing on Tuesday. The incident took place at the Kathua district in Jammu.
The death of the minor has triggered protest by locals.

9. Neighbour Kills Dalit Woman
A 35-year-old dalit woman, Pushpa, was killed by her neighbour when she asked him to not tease her daughter.
Pushpa’s neighbour Teni beat her severely following an argument, when she went to his house to talk to him about his beahaviour.
