‘A Wonderful Sight’: Indigo Pilot Who Caught PSLV Launch on Camera

The PSLV C45 was launched from ISRO’s Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Andhra Pradesh’s Sriharikota on Monday.

The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) on Monday, 1 April, launched the PSLV-C45 rocket, which successfully injected the electronic intelligence satellite EMISAT and 28 other customer satellites into orbit.

The PSLV C45 was launched from ISRO's Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Andhra Pradesh's Sriharikota.

The launch was captured on camera by Captain Karun Karumbaya, ex-224 Squadron, from the cockpit of his Indigo A-320, according to Manoj Kumar Channan, who shared the stunning video on Twitter. According to his tweet, the aircraft was 50 nautical miles from the launch site.

Channan is a part of Defense & Strategy Technology Aviation, Land systems and Naval Systems, according to his Twitter bio. The video has gone viral, with over 54.6K views and 2304 retweets.

In the video, the captain can be heard saying, "Ladies and gentlemen, on the right, look outside your window, you can see the PSLV launch, the rocket, on the right side..Beauty, yaar... WOW. That's amazing...WOW. That was a wonderful sight."

Other people also shared the video on the social media platform, praising it.
