1 Jawan, 1 Civilian Killed In Fresh Ceasefire Violations by Pak

Over 60 ceasefire violations have taken place since the surgical strikes by the Indian Army.

One civilian, a woman, has been killed during ceasefire violations by Pakistan in Golat village in the Mendhar sector of Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district.

One army jawan was also killed in a ceasefire violation.

On Monday, Pakistan violated the ceasefire thrice. The first ceasefire violation was in Mendhar and two others occurred in Rajouri sector.

Two other jawans were injured during the ceasefire violations in Mendhar. The injured have been shifted to command hospital in Udhampur, J&K.

It was reported that the Indian forces retaliated strongly.

Over 60 ceasefire violations have taken place since surgical strikes by Indian Army on terror launch pads in Pakistan occupied Kashmir.

On Sunday, Pakistani Rangers had pounded BSF posts and civilian areas using small arms and mortar shells in continuous ceasefire violations along the International Border (IB) in Samba, Kathua, and Jammu districts, prompting BSF to retaliate.

"Unprovoked" firing resumed along the International Border (IB) in RS Pura sector of Jammu district on Sunday evening, after shelling stopped in the morning.

On Friday, two civilians were killed and as many injured when Pakistan targeted civilian areas and forward India posts along the LoC and IB in Jammu, Kathua, Poonch and Rajouri districts, following which Indian troops retaliated and killed 15 Pakistani soldiers.
