Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) elections are slated to be held on August 22 and candidates from all political parties as well as newbies are busy canvassing for votes.
Potholes, traffic jams, no waste segregation – the list of complaints is quite long for an average Bengalurean.
Most citizens are however not feeling as powerless as they did a few years ago, with many local groups starting campaigns, spelling out their demands this election.
Campaign for Change

No Road, No Vote
The freelance artist immediately made two placards stating “No Road. No Vote”. Within a few hours, she saw many people coming forward to hold them.
“Although a campaign wasn’t an initial plan, the residents of Rajarajeshwari Nagar want to come together and spread the message”, said the 22 year old who teaches in Presidency college in BTM Layout.
