A medical report on the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) Students’ Union President Kanhaiya Kumar has been released on Thursday. According to the report, there were multiple injuries on Kumar’s body that were caused during an assault by lawyers at Patiala House Court earlier this week.

This information contradicts the Delhi police version, which still maintains that Kumar was not assaulted at all.

There are multiple abrasions on Kumar’s nose and thighs. There is a tenderness present on the right toe and there were several external injury marks on him.

Kanhaiya Kumar, who is accused of sedition, was produced at Patiala House Court in Delhi, where a section of advocates attacked him. Journalists who were present at the court were also assaulted by the mob. But Delhi Police Commissioner BS Bassi maintains that the situation was not out of control and allegations of an assault on Kumar are false.
