The front coach of Karjat-bound suburban train derailed at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus in Mumbai on Sunday, 1 October. No injuries were reported.
CPRO Sunil Udasi said that the two wheels of Karjat bound local train derailed outside CSMT. He confirmed that no passenger was injured or traffic disrupted due to the incident.
On 29 September, a stampede on the foot-over-bridge at Elphinstone station killed 23 people and injured over 35.
