Sikh-Americans Pledge to Plant 100 Forests in India to Combat Climate Change
A Sikh-American organisation in Washington on Thursday pledged to support the plantation of 100 forests in Punjab and other parts of India as part of their efforts to combat climate change.
Members of EcoSikh, during its 7th Gala in Washington, pledged to combat climate change by planting Guru Nanak Sacred forests in Punjab and elsewhere in the world, a statement issued by the organisation said.

Voting Closes in Historic Election to Decide UK's Brexit Fate, Exit Poll Forecasts Boris Victory
The polls closed on Thursday night for the UK’s first December election in nearly a century to determine the fate of Brexit – Britain's impending divorce from the European Union (EU).
The definitive exit poll released at the close of voting at 2200 GMT forecast a victory for British Prime Minister Boris Johnson with a comfortable majority for his Conservative Party with 368 seats, with the Labour Party way down at 191.

13-Yr-Old Allegedly Raped in Haryana's Fatehabad
In Haryana, a 13-year-old girl was allegedly raped in Luthera village of Fatehabad. Dharambir Punia, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Fatehabad said, “Case registered under Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) and SC/ST Act. Further investigation underway.”

Iraq Suicide Bombers Kill 11 Fighters Loyal to Cleric Sadr
Two suicide bombers targeted a base of an Iraqi armed group led by Shiite cleric Moqtada Sadr, killing 11 fighters, the army said.
The first attack took place late in the day near Tharthar Lake southwest of Samarra, a longtime stronghold of Sunni jihadist groups some 100 kilometres (65 miles) north of Baghdad.
