Terrorists Attack CRPF Jawans in Pulwama
Hours after an encounter in the Baramulla district of J&K, terrorists attacked a CRPF convoy in Muran Chowk, Pulwama.
The terrorists opened fire at the convoy, injuring an Assistant Sub-Inspector in the process. More details are awaited.
Following information about the movement of terrorists in the area, the army laid an ambush in Haritar Tarzoo village during the night (Monday night)," a police official said.
The terrorists opened fire as they were passing through the area early on Tuesday. But one of them was killed in the operation.
"The identity of the slain militant is being established."
This attack comes less than a week after a similar encounter happened in Shahgund Hajin in Bandipora district in the state.
One Terrorist Killed in Baramulla
Earlier in the day, one terrorist was killed in an encounter that broke out between security forces and terrorists in the early hours of Tuesday in the Haritar Tarzoo area in Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Security forces have recovered arms and ammunition from the encounter. According to initial reports, two terrorists are believed to be hiding.
