The project was started about 1.5 years back with an aim to bring a change into the lives of these kids.

Under its Police Pathshala project, the Ahmedabad traffic police has started to impart free education to children residing on the footpaths in the city.

The city traffic police has set up three centre's across Ahmedabad, where about 150-200 children are being educated.

The project was started about 1.5 years back with an aim to bring a change into the lives of these kids.

According to the Ahmedabad traffic police ACP Akash Patel, the project was started about 1.5 years back with an aim to bring a change into the lives of these kids, who otherwise get involved in crimes or begging if they're left neglected.

The project also offers citizens to do their part and volunteer in order to help these kids in study and extra curricular activities. Ahmedabad Police has also started a library which offers education to children, Gujarat Mid Day reported in May.
