• SC upholds odd-even plan:
Calling a challenge to the plan a “publicity stunt”, the Supreme Court strongly backed the Delhi government’s efforts. The court added that pollution was killing the people of Delhi and individual concerns had to bow before the “common good”.

The International Monetary Fund has called for a carbon tax of $30 per tonne of CO2 on the shipping and aviation industries. Such a tax would act as a source of carbon finance and, if in place, would have raised an estimated $25 billion in 2014.
