Congress has taken the battle on the Land Acquisition Bill to the social media. It has launched a ‘Zameen Wapsi’ website on the eve of its farmers’ rally which is expected to see Rahul Gandhi attacking the government on the controversial bill.
According to Congress leader Jairam Ramesh, the bilingual website ‘www.zameenwapsi.com’ has been started to counter the ‘bundle of lies’ put forward by the Narendra Modi government.
The government is misleading people on the issue. The website will serve as a platform for farmers in rural and urban areas to air their problems. The website, which is to be updated daily, will provide all related information on the issue of land acquisition. Congress will try to take the farmers’ issues to the government.

Congress’ farmer rally will be held on April 19, 2015 and is significant as it is being held on the eve of the second phase of the Budget session of Parliament.
Earlier, leaders of as many as 14 opposition parties had marched to Rashtrapati Bhavan along with Congress president, Sonia Gandhi to protest against the controversial land bill.
