A class 11 student was allegedly gangraped by her classmate and two other people in a moving car last week in Greater Noida, near Delhi, reported NDTV. The police has arrested two people in connection with the rape.
"We received information from the girl's father that on 18 April she could not be found and based on his statement a First Information Report (FIR) was filed against three people. We have caught the main accused and another youth, while a third one is still on the run," said Awneesh Kumar, a senior police officer, as quoted by a report in NDTV.
According to a report in The Times of India (ToI), the girl told the police that she had missed her school bus around 2:30 pm and was going home. That’s when the three approached her and offered her a lift. The girl also alleges that she was forced to have a drink laced with drugs and was gagged.
She was then allegedly gangraped by the three men who took turns to rape her before dropping her on a deserted stretch of the road.
One of them was a distant relative who had come from Palwal while another was her classmate. Since she knew the boys, she decided to accompany them in the car. But they allegedly held her captive and forced themselves upon her one by one.Ram Bhawan Singh, Greater Noida station officer, to ToI
Later, the girl was reportedly found loitering near Galgotias University in Knowledge Park area, where she had been dumped, said the police officer as quoted by ToI.
