India's second moon mission, Chandrayaan-2 performed its third ‘lunar bound orbit maneuver’ successfully on Wednesday, 28 August, the Indian Space Research Organisation confirmed.
"Third Lunar bound orbit maneuver for Chandrayaan-2 spacecraft was performed successfully today (August 28, 2019) beginning at 0904 hrs IST, using the onboard propulsion system," ISRO said in a release.
The duration of the maneuver was 1190 seconds, according to ISRO. The orbit achieved is 179 km x 1412 km.
The space agency said that all the spacecraft parameters are performing normally after the maneuver.
ISRO further said that the next orbit raising maneuver is scheduled for 30 August, between 6 pm and 7 pm.
