The recent hit-and-run case of a 22-year old girl named Archana Pandya shocked Mumbai city. Archana was lying injured and unattended for 20 minutes in front of the Vanrai police station in Goregaon East, after being hit by a vehicle. The girl who could have been saved had she received medical attention on time, was declared dead on arrival at the hospital.

We reached the spot, which is just outside the police station and took Pandya to hospital in an auto rickshaw. Nobody helped her and she was lying on the road for 15 to 20 minutes. An eyewitness informed the police station and ran away after that.
