The naked body of an eight-year-old girl was found in New Delhi’s Vasant Kunj area, police said on Tuesday.
A telephone call about the body in Rangpur Pahari forest area was received around 7.10 am, a senior police officer told IANS.
We recovered the body around 8 am. It appears that there was an attempt to bury her. An axe, a bag with few pair of clothes and a doctor’s prescription was found near the body.RP Upadhaya, Joint Commissioner of Police, Delhi (South)
The officer said that the doctors of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) found no external injury marks on the body.
“The body has been preserved for post-mortem which will be done once it is identified,” the officer said.
