Blue Whale Challenge: Teen Jumps Before Train in Madhya Pradesh

Another succumbs to the Blue Whale Challenge in Madhya Pradesh..

A Class 11 student committed suicide by jumping in front of the train on Saturday night in what was allegedly one of the tasks in the blue whale challenge. His friends have said that he used to play the game. They said he was the first amongst them who played the game, adding they did not know how he had downloaded it.

On the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday, the boy stood before a running train and was taking selfies. His body was found on the tracks this morning.

Additional superintendent of police Arvind Dubey told PTI.

The blue whale challenge has led to the death of a number of young boys and girls in India in the last few weeks.

The family of the boy has not commented on the matter yet.

The family members have said they are not aware of the deceased playing the Blue whale game. We have seized the mobile of the victim and we are sending it to cyber forensic for data retrieval. After recovering the data we will be able to tell you what was the exact reason.

Vivek Agarwal, Superintendent of Police told The Indian Express.

The challenge starts by asking participants via social media to draw a whale on a piece of paper, then carve a whale figure on their body. It is followed by other tasks such as watching horror movies alone or waking during random hours.

The last challenge of the game is to commit suicide.
