- A special Central Bureau (CBI) court rejected the bail application of former media baron Peter Mukerjea on Monday in Mumbai. Mukherjea was arrested on 19 November 2015, in connection with the Sheena Bora murder case.
- “The bail is rejected,” Special Judge HS Mahajan said while delivering the order in the court.
The judge said that the bail application has been rejected on the basis of certain facts in the case diary which cannot be disclosed to the defence lawyers.
- His bail plea had been rejected once earlier in February following which he moved another plea before the court in March.
His lawyers had sought bail saying that Peter did not know anything about the murder of Sheena and he was not in the country at that time.
