Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal has sought Narendra Modi’s intervention in the issue of wheat procurement cost and reimbursement in his state.
He claimed the states were not being reimbursed on time, leading to a huge gap between money spent and reimbursed.
Even though wheat procurement began in Punjab from as early as 1 April, farmers are yet to benefit from it, reported NDTV.

The meeting between the two politicians lasted for twenty minutes. The Prime Minister has promised Badal positive action.
