Pratyusha Banerjee Suicide: Chargesheet Filed Against Rahul Raj

Bombay HC had granted anticipatory bail to Rahul after observing that there was not enough evidence against him

• Mumbai Police has filed a chargesheet against Pratyusha Banerjee’s boyfriend, Rahul Raj Singh. The police had earlier charged him with abetting the actor’s suicide.
  
  
• On 25 April, the Bombay High Court had granted anticipatory bail to Rahul Raj Singh, after observing that prima facie there was not enough evidence to show that the accused “instigated or intended” the suicide.
  
  
• The 24-year-old Balika Vadhu star Pratyusha Banerjee allegedly committed suicide on 1 April at her residence in Mumbai. She was dating Rahul Raj Singh at the time. Pratyusha’s family alleges that he drove her into committing suicide.
