Pakistan army on Sunday once again resorted to unprovoked shelling at Indian positions along the Line of Control in Krishna Ghati sector of Poonch district, Jammu and Kashmir and is currently also underway in the Balnoi area of the district.
At least four places have come under indiscriminate shelling and firing which was started by the Pakistani army to target civil and defence facilities in the area, a police official from the area said.

The firing which began at around 2am on Sunday morning resulted in the death of two soldiers. Three persons – two soldiers and a civilian – have also been injured after getting caught in the crossfire at around 10:30am, as reported by PTI and ANI.

Sunday's unprovoked ceasefire violation on the border came after a lull of two days when an uneasy calm prevailed on the LoC and the International Border.
The violation of the ceasefire agreement by Pakistani side has become a rule rather than an exception after the Indian Army on 28 September night carried out surgical strikes against terrorist launch pads across the Line of Control in Pakistani side of Kashmir.
