Stadiums and sports complexes have been allowed to reopen in Delhi, from Monday, 5 July, on a normal basis, as per an order of the Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA). However, spectators will still not be allowed.
The order comes as the city continues to report low daily coronavirus cases. On Saturday, 86 new infections were reported, with a positivity rate of 0.11 percent, along with five deaths.

What continues to remain shut in Delhi?
Cinema halls, theatres, multiplexes, banquet halls, social/political gatherings, auditoriums, swimming pools, schools, colleges, spas, and amusement parks will continue to remain shut in the national capital.
But weren't stadiums already open?
Stadiums and sports complexes were already open in the national capital, but only for sportspersons training for national and international events.
Prior to this, the DDMA had also recently allowed the reopening of gyms and yoga institutes with 50 percent attendance.
Can I go out for a meal in Delhi?
Yes. Continuing with its unlocking strategy in the capital, the Delhi government, last week, announced the reopening of bars, restaurants and other public places.
The Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) order said that both bars and restaurants will be allowed to open with 50 percent seating capacity between noon to 10 pm.
Markets, market complexes, and malls have also been allowed to remain open from 10 am to 8 pm.
Are offices allowed to reopen?
Private offices have also been allowed to run at 50 percent capacity between 9 am to 5 pm, while for government offices, only group A officers are required to show 100 percent attendance. Other officers work at 50 percent capacity.
Is Delhi Metro operating now?
Delhi Metro continues to run at 50 percent capacity and movement of intra-state buses has now been allowed at 50 percent capacity as well.
