About 810 families in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s adopted village – Jayapur in Varanasi will get electricity free of cost.

According to Zee News, Jayapur is set to become the first village to be provided with solar energy. Welspun Energy Limited will be providing energy panels to the houses of the village.

Srinarayan Patel, Gram Pradhan of Jayapur said that two plants of 25 KW capacity each are already in function.

The prime minister had adopted this village under the Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojna.
