The Malaysia Airlines flight from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur, with 230 passengers on board, made an emergency landing at the airport in Chennai due to inoperable lavatories, reported Channel NewsAsia.
The aircraft was flying the same route as flight MH17, which was shot down over Ukraine last year.
The flight later took off after the problem was attended to.
