  • Islam is the prime accused in the case, and was earlier remanded to a 14-day judicial custody. He is a native of Assam, according to The News Minute.

  • He is a migrant construction worker who was one of the labourers building Jisha’s new house, and had visited the crime scene on the morning of the murder, on 28 April.
