- A relative of a former Kashmir legislator snatched the service rifle of a personal security officer (PSO) deployed with Abdul Rehman Tukroo, a former MLC.
- The incident occurred in Shopian district in South Kashmir. The relative, Waseem, stole the rifle as well as 30 rounds from the PSO.
- Waseem has been on the wanted list of security forces and according to reports, he used to visit the former MLC’s residence.
