- An FIR was registered against controversial VHP leader Sadhvi Prachi for inciting communal passions, police said on Tuesday.
- The FIR was registered based on a complaint lodged by Sandeep Kumar of Bahujan Mukti Morcha who alleged that her statement in Uttarakhand about a “Muslim free country” hurt communal feelings.
- Police said that the FIR has been registered under IPC 153 A (Promoting enmity between different groups on grounds of religion), IPC 153 B (Imputations, assertions prejudicial to national-integration).
