A local court on Monday issued a non-bailable warrant against suspended BJP leader Dayashankar Singh on the application of the district police over his derogatory remarks against BSP supremo Mayawati.
An FIR was lodged against the BJP leader on 19 July by the BSP under the SC/ST Act for his derogatory comments against Mayawati based on complaint lodged by national secretary of BSP, Mewalal Gautam.
Dayashankar’s wife, Swati, on the other hand, had lodged an FIR against Mayawati, and other prominent BSP leaders, besides unknown workers, for their derogatory remarks while they protested against Dayashankar’s comments.
