In yet another attack on minorities in Pakistan, a 56-year old Hindu doctor was shot dead sitting in his clinic in Karachi, Akhtar Farooq, senior superintendent of police Investigation revealed on Friday.
The police official added the doctor’s attendant had gone to buy a mobile card when the victim was attacked late on Thursday. SSP Investigation said the suspects did not take any valuables, hinting at the incident being a possible hate crime.
Hate crimes against minorities have been on the rise in Pakistan. Earlier, two members of the Hindu community were among three people shot dead in an attack on a wine shop in Karachi.
