UGC NET 2019: Exam in June, Registrations Begin from 1 March

The registration process for UGC NET 2019 exam will begin from 1 March and the last date of application is 30 March.

The UGC NET 2019 examination, scheduled to be held in June this year, will be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), according to a website circular.

The National Eligibility Test (NET) will be conducted by NTA for the second time on behalf of the University Grants Commission (UGC). Earlier, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) was responsible for conducting the NET exam in 84 subjects at 91 selected cities across the country.

The UGC-NET exam is held for the post of Assistant Professor or Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) or both.

The registration process for the UGC NET 2019 exam will begin from 1 March, and the last date of application is 30 March. Interested candidates can apply through the official website http://www.nta.ac.in or ntanet.nic.in.

The admit cards will be available for download from 15 May, and the exam will be held in different sessions - 20, 21, 24, 25, 26, 27 and 28 June 2019 - based on the new syllabii available on the website, the circular said.

The NET is conducted to determine the eligibility of Indian nationals for the Eligibility for Assistant Professor or Junior Research Fellowship or both in Indian Universities and Colleges.
