The Department of Higher Education (DHE) of Odisha released its first merit list for admission in Odisha +2 on 29 June at 11 am, reported NDTV. Students who have passed their Class 10 and have applied for various streams in +2 can check if their name appears in the merit list at samsodisha.gov.in.
4,41,603 students have registered for admissions this year. Based on the first merit list, the admission process for the academic year of 2018-2019 will be held between 2 July and 5 July.
The cut-off for the Science stream this year is 88.3 percent.
In 2017, more than five lakh students were registered for the Odisha +2 admissions and 3,22,167 students were selected in the first round of admissions for various streams. The second merit list was released on 22 June. The admission process for candidates in the first merit list was over by 19 June 2017.
On the other hand, the registration for the +3 admission process in the state has ended. As per reports, the first merit list is expected to be released on 3 July.
The Board of Secondary Examination (BSE) declared the Class 10 examination results on 7 May. More than 6,08,031 students had appeared for the exam across 2,818 centres.
How to Check the DHE Odisha +2 Merit List?
- Open the Student Academic Management Systems (SAMS) website.
- Under the ‘School and Mass Education’ section, click on the ‘Higher Secondary School/Junior’ link.
- You will be redirected to a new page for Junior and Category Wise Rank List 4.
- Enter your registration number, password and date of birth.
- Your allotment result and rank list will be displayed on the screen.
