After President Obama made history by calling off the arms sale ban on Vietnam, he shared a meal of cheap noodles with celebrity chef Anthony Bourdain.

The duo was spotted sharing a $6 meal of bun cha, a traditional beef and noodles dish, washing it down with Vietnamese beer at the Bun Cha Huong Lien restaurant in Hanoi.

Bourdain later shared this photo, appreciating the President’s “on point” chopstick skills. The travel show host also joked about picking up the tab. The meal however, set him back only by $6.

This isn’t the first time President Obama has made an unconventional media appearance. He appeared on Bear Grylls show Running Wild and was also part of Marc Maron WTF podcast in June 2015.

President Obama, who is on tour of Asia to“increase US diplomatic, economic and security engagement” had earlier in the day announced the removal of the 41 years old arms embargo on Vietnam and will be visiting Hiroshima on May 27. He will be the first sitting American President to do so after 1945.

Obama is much loved for being laid back in his personal life and has the social media abuzz this time around too.
