Here’s introducing Popeye the foodie, the cutest dog you’ll see on the internet. Just look at him. Such swag. Such cuteness. Isn’t it adorable?
Well, Popeye leads a dream life, gorging on the trendiest cuisines that Los Angeles has to offer.
But that hasn’t been the case since forever. Just three years back, Popeye was a stray dog strolling on the streets. He was leading a grim and shabby life just like any other street dog.
But in 2014, his fortunes turned when Los Angeles’ Ivy Diep, Popeye’s owner, saw him wandering on the streets and decided to adopt him. And fortunately for Popeye, he mingled really well with the family and other pets.
Ivy is quite active on Instagram, and one day, she took Popeye on one of her “Instagram Dates” – something that she does frequently with her friends to satiate the foodie in her.
She visits pet-friendly places and documents the entire dining out experience by cataloguing pictures of the dishes on social media.
During subsequent outings, Ivy spotted an innate flair for photographs in Popeye. It was then that her friend suggested that she make an Instagram account for the adorable pooch.
But in a bid to do something different, Ivy started dressing Popeye in theme-based outfits while taking him out. And now, Popeye even has a dedicated Instagram account that documents all its food adventures. And he has close to 108k followers!

There is a long list of foods that this unique blogger seems to have devoured. However, Ivy says she only occasionally gives it small portions of anything that is safe for him.
Contrary to what the pictures say, Ivy says Popeye is not that into food. He just likes going out, watching people and barking at other dogs. Regardless, she always carries a bag full of Popeye’s favourite treats wherever they go.
