Beauty ads should belong to history. With digital manipulation, it’s really easy for actors, actresses and models to “appear” perfect after using beauty products. Seems harmless, but looking at the world’s obsession with fairness and beauty, it is anything but harmless.
But Maisie Williams who has time and again reaffirmed how fitting she is for the role of Arya Stark, is here to poke fun at fairness ads like they rightly deserve it.
In her new commercial for Three–a UK mobile service provider, the “fairness expert” Williams shows how lonely it is to live with “black spots” until she used Three, and now she’s a celebrity hounded by the paparazzi.
Oh, by the way, she meant connectivity “black spots”, which technically make it hard to communicate with society and not facial black spots which cause no damage to a person’s reputation whatsoever.
