Sporting a shirt made out of a blue plastic bag, with ‘Messi 10’ scribbled on the back, Murtaza Ahmadi became an internet sensation earlier this year when his photo went viral.

Messi’s biggest fan, six-year-old Murtaza from Ghazni province of Afghanistan finally had his dreams come true when he got to meet his idol Lionel Messi in Doha, Qatar, before a friendly match between Barcelona and Saudi Arabia's Al-Ahli..

The boy was tracked down with the help of social media and tremendous efforts were made to make him meet his hero.

The adorable meeting turned sweeter for the boy as he was allowed to place the ball in the centre before the match. He also refused to budge from Messi’s side, much to the amusement of fellow players.

In February, Messi parceled him Argentina and Barcelona shirts in a package, along with a ball.
