PepsiCo CEO, Indra Nooyi resigned on Monday, 6 August. She will be succeeded by company president Ramon Laguarta, effective from 3 October.
Nooyi, 64, has been with PepsiCo for 24 years and has held the CEO position for 12 years now.
Her departure was announced by PepsiCo on Twitter.
The company also announced Ramon Laguarta taking over as CEO in another tweet.

Nooyi also tweeted about stepping down and expressed her gratitude to the company.
