Now, whenever you are using the Snapchat dog filter, you won't just be reminded of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and comedy group All India Bakchod (AIB), but also Trinamool Congress Rajya Sabha member Derek O'Brien and Congress’ Shashi Tharoor.
A day after AIB found itself in a soup as the Mumbai Police Cyber Cell registered an FIR against them for posting a notorious meme featuring a Modi lookalike with the dog-filter on Snapchat, OML founder Vijay Nair tweeted out a subtle challenge to all politicians. The fancy caught on and one user eventually tagged O'Brien and Shashi Tharoor to take up the challenge. And guess what, both delivered, very sportingly.
Captioned “Attention all trolls...” and “It's the weekend. Time for a little bit of fun”, the pictures did well to highlight the arbitrariness of the police action, which seems to have taken humour a little bit too seriously.
