Trust grandmothers to always be on a mission to feed grandkids – even if they’re someone else’s grandchildren.

Jamal Hinton got an invite to a Thanksgiving dinner that left him bewildered. The high school senior received a group text informing him about when the dinner will be served.

“I thought it was either a wrong number or my grandma learned how to use a phone correctly,” NBC quoted Hinton as saying.

When Hinton asked the woman, Wanda Delch, to send him a photo, he realised that she was a complete stranger.

He jokingly asked if he could still come for dinner, to which Delch said that he was welcome since “that’s what grandma’s do”. The duo met and Delch, being the grandma she is, extended the invite to Hinton’s entire family.

Their little exchange sparked a friendship that’s in tune with the feel-good spirit of the holidays and has been shared thousands of times on social media.
