PM Narendra Modi Shares Yoga Videos a Day Before World Yoga Day 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared more Yoga videos ahead of International Yoga Day 2019.

A day before the International Day of Yoga, Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared two more videos on his Twitter handle. The videos show an animated version of the Prime Minister, where he is seen displaying various postures and positions of Yoga.

The United Nations General Assembly declared 21 June as the International Yoga Day in 2014. PM Modi started posting these animated videos displaying Yoga asanas on his Twitter handle from 5 June.

In the first video that he shared, he is seen practising the Nadishodhan Pranayam. It is a breathing technique that helps clear the blocked energy channels of the body and calms the mind.

He shared the video with a caption that translated to ‘Nadishodhan Pranayam is very beneficial. See its methods and its benefits.’

The other video he shared was the one where he told the importance of meditation or ‘dhyaan’ in Yoga.

He shared this video with a caption that translated to ‘Meditation is the most important and integral part of Yoga practice.’

The Prime Minister will be hosting an event in Ranchi, Jharkand on the occasion of International Day of Yoga on 21 June 2019. The event will start in the morning. It will be held at the Prabhat Tara ground in Ranchi.
