Outraging about the Filmfare awards seems to be the latest trend. After Rishi Kapoor’s confession that he paid for his Best Actor trophy for Bobby, Amaal Mallik’s criticism of the awards and Harshvardhan Kapoor’s tweets about why Diljit Dosanjh didn’t deserve the Best Debut honour, here’s why choreographer Vaibhavi Merchant is peeved.
Merchant who choreographed the Jag Ghumeya song (from Sultan), is justifiably upset about the fact that Salman Khan was nominated for the Best Choreographer award for the song. The choreographer was also nominated in the same category for the Befikre song, Nashe Si Chadh Gayee, expressed herself with this cheeky tweet:
Merchant admits that even though Salman came up with the hook step of the song, it was unfair to credit the entire song to the actor. Sources who were present at the awards nite add that the moment she heard that Salman Khan had been nominated, Merchant walked out of the show.
