The picture has till now received 107,604 retweets and got favourited 150,032 times. SRK clicked the black-and-white photo with the former One Direction band member at the fifth annual Asian Awards in London, where both of them were honoured for their work. 3. HC Stays Order Declaring Saif’s Property as ‘Enemy’ Estate
The Madhya Pradesh High Court has stayed an order declaring the property of the Nawab of Bhopal, inherited by actor Saif Ali Khan and his family members, as “enemy” property by the Central department. The order was issued two months ago by the Custodian of Enemy Property for India (CEPI), which had decreed that the estate in question be confiscated. Justice Vandana Kasrekar yesterday also served notices to CEPI, the Central and Madhya Pradesh governments during the preliminary hearing on a petition moved by Saif challenging the order. 4. Pather Panchali to Replay in the US After 60 Yrs
Sixty years after it hit screens in the US and created ripples across the film world, Pather Panchali will return to the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York next week - the venue where it had its maiden show abroad in 1955, months before its India release. On May 4, just a couple of days after Satyajit Ray’s 93rd birth anniversary, a celluloid print of the classic will be screened at MoMA, followed by a commercial release across theatres in New York. Titled ‘Action Replay’, the screening will recreate the historic occasion and will be attended by several prominent Hollywood actors, directors and art critics. Immediately after the MoMA screening, Pather Panchali will be screened at the Cannes Film Festival, where it had received its first international award in 1956. 5. ‘Fast and Furious 8’ to Release in April 2017, Reveals Diesel
The eighth instalment of Fast and Furious will release on April 14, 2017. This would be the first instalment of the franchise without actor Paul Walker. Actor Vin Diesel announced the release date while speaking during the theatre owners’ gathering at CinemaCon in Las Vegas recently.
